Volkswagen Gives Us Preview of Full-Electric Sedan
The new ID. AERO Concept Car / Volkswagen
Volkswagen has just revealed the ID. AERO – their first ever all-electric sedan. The automaker is no stranger to electric vehicles – the VW ID.4 was first introduced back in 2020 and even took home the Top EV Pick for Value by Cars.com. The ID. AERO will be the newest member of the ID. family following the ID. 3, ID.4, and the iconic ID. Buzz.
In terms of style, the ID. AERO transfers the design of the ID. family to a sedan in the premium mid-size segment for the first time. The aerodynamically designed front end and roof ensure that air flows optimally over the vehicle. At around 190 inches long, the ID. AERO is about the size of the Passat and largely mimics its SUV siblings with similar-looking headlights and taillights, chrome around the roofline, a black roof, and familiar side surfacing. The 77.0-kWh battery pack will provide a driving range of 385 miles.

Volkswagen says this sedan will be its electric flagship model, and will be sold in Europe, China, and North America. When it arrives in the states, we can expect that it will be comparable to the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 6.
