Recently, Volkswagen announced that Car and Driver magazine has named the 2022 Golf GTI, Golf R, ID.4, Jetta GLI, Taos, and Tiguan to the publication's Editors' Choice list for 2022. Even more impressive, the 2022 Golf GTI appeared on Car and Driver 10Best list for the 16th time in a row.
While Volkswagen continues to focus on going electric, the automaker still sticks to its roots of their sport compact car. In fact, the 2022 Jetta GLI was clearly developed with driving enthusiasts in mind – the GLI's 228-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-banger makes an impressive 70 + more horsepower than the standard Jetta's engine and comes with performance enhancements such as adaptive dampers and limited-slip differential.
As we head into the new year, Volkswagen has plenty of updates for their lineup. Many of those include vehicle refreshes, technology upgrades, and enhanced safety features. The top-selling Volkswagen Jetta has received an additional trim as well as updated styling. Other core models, such as the Tiguan and Atlas, also have plenty to offer going into 2022.
Volkswagen has kicked off the month of November by announcing pricing on the new 2022 Jetta and Jetta GLI. For the new model year, the Jetta MSRP starts at $20,195 and Jetta GLI MSRP starts at $30,995.
