The New 2022 Volkswagen Taos Has Arrived Just in Time for Summer

Volkswagen is kicking off summer 2022 with the release of the brand new Volkswagen Taos, which is now available at Kelly Volkswagen in Danvers, MA!

The 2022 Taos has made its debut with a bold exterior design, practical but refined interior, advanced technology, and available 4Motion all-wheel drive. According to Volkswagen, the SUV is slotted right below the well-known Tiguan and offers the brands signature driving dynamics, high quality, and smart packaging in a smaller package with a lower price tag.

“Taos is our fifth new addition to the Volkswagen family in just four years, and we’re thrilled to keep finding new ways to meet the needs of American families,” said Scott Keough, CEO, Volkswagen Group of America. “Taos will bookend our compact SUV offering, giving buyers all the style, technology, and drivability that Volkswagen is known for at an even more affordable price.”

All versions of the 2022 Taos are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged and direct-injection EA211 TSI engine making 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to sophisticated technology such as variable geometric turbocharging, the Taos delivers excellent fuel economy and performance.

On the inside, you will find a spacious interior, modern design, and advanced technology. All 2022 Taos models feature innovative Volkswagen MIB touchscreen infotainment systems. The displays utilize a capacitive-touch sensor rather than the more common resistive touchscreens that require more pressure. App-Connect smartphone integration for compatible devices is standard and offers user the ability to run select smartphone apps directly on the vehicle’s display through services such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
