ID. Buzz Recognized in Autotrader’s 2025 Best New Cars Rankings

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz has garnered significant attention in the automotive world, earning accolades for its innovative design and performance. Notably, it was named the Utility Vehicle of the Year at the 2025 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year Awards.

The ID. Buzz stands out with its retro-inspired aesthetics that pay homage to the classic VW Microbus, seamlessly blended with modern electric vehicle technology. Its distinctive design, especially when adorned with two-tone paint schemes, has been praised for its nostalgic yet futuristic appeal.

Autotrader’s Best New Cars of 2025 list includes four electric vehicles, two hybrid gasoline-electric vehicles, and four traditional gasoline internal combustion engine models. The selection criteria focused on vehicles available for purchase within nine months, with a base price under $130,000.

Under the hood, the ID. Buzz offers impressive performance metrics. Equipped with a 91 kWh battery, it delivers an EPA-estimated range of up to 234 miles for rear-wheel-drive models and 231 miles for all-wheel-drive versions. The vehicle supports fast-charging capabilities, allowing it to recharge from 5% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes under optimal conditions. ​

Inside, the ID. Buzz is designed with both comfort and technology in mind. It features a spacious cabin with seating for up to seven passengers, a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, and a 5.3-inch digital instrument panel. Additional amenities include three-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and heated outboard second-row seats. Safety is also a priority, with standard driver-assistance technologies such as front and rear automatic emergency braking, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability.
